I just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 on my Desktop using the built in
upgrader. I left it running overnight and now when it boots into
2.6.31-14-generic it reboots before getting to X, I tried it in
recovery mode and it kernel panics and reboots. I have now managed to
get it running in the older 2.6.28-15-generic kernel, after a few
attempts at getting X started it now appears to get gdm running okay.
However my sound card appears to have stopped working. I haven't
tested anything else yet.I'm copying all the stuff off my desktop in
case I decide to wipe it and try a fresh install.
