I put a couple of the netgear ones in for a friend and they have been
working away fine now for 18 months. They are on different circuits up
and down I think.
I don't recall what sort of speed it was getting but it was better than
the wireless connection he did have.
I have to say I was (am) incredibly sceptical about them but they do
seem to be doing the job. Probably not applicable to a business
Just my 2p.

Does anybody use the ethernet over power lines system at home? I
think the brand was Devolo but there may be others? Anyway, it's the
way of setting up a home network by pugging the ethernet cable into a
special power socket plug, I'm sure you all know what I mean. I just
wondered if there are any restrictions on usage. by that I mean does
the network all have to be on the same breaker circuit (downstairs
sockets or upstairs sockets) or does it use the earth wire?
