I thought it had been cleared up at lug.org.uk I'm not LUG master,
far from it. I did enquire about setting up a South Staffs one but
then decided against it and thought it best to pool into the Staffs
LUG instead.
It makes you wonder of there any other small groups out there that are
not registered at lug org. There's not official requirement after
all. Oh, of course, there is the Chhlg...Cheslyn Hay Linux Group on
Yahoo groups.

Ok, I'm semi-relieved that at least it's not going to be another

uni, but I did my work placement at Leek and go to uni in Stafford - so
I get around the more northern parts of Staffs a little.

Russ and I are in Stoke, I gather several people are in/somewhere near
Stafford.
There was the vague suggestion of a meet sometime soon, but we didn't get
anywhere beyond that. Perhaps we should resurrect that conversation? On a
related note, we've now got our house sorted enough that if people would
like, we can host meets here, which would guarrantee at least two attendees!

Cheslyn Hay, about a mile or so South East from junction 11 of the M6.
Jobless....well, actually retired due to ill health. I used to work
at Priorslee Campus (W'ton Uni) at Telford until the end of 2000 where
I was 2nd in command of the IT dept' of the Learning Centre. Nice job
but awful in the evening when it was nearly 11pm and I'd got 30 odd
miles to travel home :-(

Well, started life off in Newcastle-under-Lyme, went to work in London in
2000, made my home in Kent for now... Pop up now and again for visits
although not been able ot make any of the meetings since the lug
relaunched itself under the stewardship of Dave et al. Hope to be able and
come up for a meeting at some point.

That sounds nice (not the yeti part!), I used to drive from Chesterfield
over the moorlands to work in Leek every day. Some of the views are
fantastic. That drive was both a blessing and a curse.
