I assume we will soon find out, Andrew :-)
Hello John,
I haven't seen you post *here* before, though I knew that
you intended to join. If you want to unsubscribe from
the group, then you can either:
Follow the
http://www.staffslug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/staffslug
link found at the bottom of each e-mail you receive from
the group, where you can enter your e-mail address and
password to unsubscribe. Your password was sent to you
when you joined, and sent to you on the first of each
month since as a reminder, but should you have deleted
this, you can fill in your e-mail on the above-mentioned
website to be sent a password reminder.
or
Send an e-mail to: staffslug-request(a)staffslug.org.uk with the subject
unsubscribe
The instructions for this are in the
List-Unsubscribe:
header in this e-mail (and others from the group).
Just click view --> All Message Headers in your Evolution Mail Client
[It even says you're using Evolution in the headers too:
X-Mailer: Evolution 2.6.1] ;-)
Andrew and Kevan,
John is a local user of GNU/Linux, fairly new to computing, using
Ubuntu to help run a voluntary group/community campaign. He joined
the group I believe to try and get help with this (the Ubuntu
use, not the campaign).
I agree that it's hard to be sure from a message "goodbye" what
help is needed, but all we need to do is ask :-)
John,
How is it going? Were you looking to unsubscribe?
If not, what can the group do to help you?
- Richard
