I'd say that your best bet would be to find a similar sized, but,
obviously slightly larger diameter self tapping screw. I have
overtightened a case screw myself in the past. I have always found
that the others still do a good job if you are careful. I tend to use
those nice big knurled ones now that I can undo with my thumbs. It's
far easier because I'm forever changing bits and pieces.
