Isn't Android all based on Java SDK ?
Meego devices are coming just around the corner and these devices will
allow PyQT QT 4.5 applications to to be developed ( PyQT & QT 4.5
linux's more powerfull VB classic equivalent). a nice 7" touchscreen
app. Also lots of 3rd party component developers have QT in there
sights as its cross platform.

I have used getafreelancer but it's tough when there's 8000KM between you.

Meego devices should be out for this christmas, states maybe. Yes I
have a bit if a habit of waiting for things like the 12 years i've
been waiting for linux to become a contender. Or the 12 months that it
took Asus to bring out the 10.1 inch eeepc after the success of there
7".

Hi Simon,
I've found there's a lot of UK people on oDesk too, although I've been
getting artwork done rather than programming. It's probably worth a look if
you're still stuck.
