Just spreading the word ;-) .. trying to get anywhere today will
probably fail, so don't bother... sit back with a hot drink.
I actually can't see 20 feet infront of my window here so I'm fixing
my atheros chipset wifi (laptop integrated), madwifi driver can't seem
to control it via wpasupplicant..I'm struggling to comprehend the
problem and downgrading to a supposedly working (coexistant) version
of the programs, seems to have named the adapter something else
again.. ath0 to wifi0? Anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to connect to
a WPA-PSK network which uses a passphrase.

yes, signal 1 radio have listed about 30 or so traffic problems in and
around stoke and crewe

It's not so bad in the South of the county. We've had snow of course
but traffic seems to be moving. Unless you want public transport

I saw a bmw slide down the hill here a little while ago.. and it's not
even really a hill. There is no way I'm leaving the house by any
method other than foot..

So how bad is the snow in Newcastle/Stone
Recently moved down to sunny london, and the locals have got very
confused by the 5 minutes worth of white stuff falling from the sky at
lunch time the last couple of days.

Roads have been hell, this morning until about 11am here i wouldn't go
out. The problem came about 5pm again when sun had left patches of ice
all over.. and the temp is dropping still. The snow was about 3-4
inches this morning here in north stoke. The aftermath and ice is the
issue as always.. and not a gritter in sight.

Wow, I go away for a couple of days and look what happens! ;-)
Myself and two colleagues left early (6:00am!) yesterday for Chilworth
(near Southampton) to do some work on-site. We had a bit of a dusting
down there, but nothing serious. We came back this evening, came off
the M6 at about 9:30pm to be greeted by fog, snow & ice. Great.
However, I found the drive from work back home to be OK for the most
part. There's ice on my street, and just outside work, but everywhere
else was pretty clear.

My oldest daughter couldn't get to work yesterday so she went
snowboarding instead ;-) collected a few bruises but still...she had
fun. I wish I was 21 again, I'd have joined her. Nowadays I can't
even use my roller blades :-(((( Well, I don't want to end up flat
on my back for a month or so.
