My secrets out! I clearly have nothing to say on the subject of 'Gfhi ru'
although the title looked so interesting I even clicked it myself (doh!)
Apologies for clogging up peoples email with Gfhi ru (again) and I was going
to blame my Android phone but after looking at the time and Tom's hint looks
like my daughter playing Shrek (or not) on the Ipad (roll on Android 3.0 and
decent Android tablets).
Am trying to think of something interesting just in case someone does open
the email so (after some thought) here's a link to Plan28 a project to build
Charles Babbages Analytical Machine http://plan28.org/ (well I thought it
was interesting)

You mentioning 'plan'. Poundland have Plan 9 From Outer Space on DVD
at the moment. The Linux tie in (sort of, well it's UNIXy) is that
Plan 9 was named after the film. Plan 9 being an OS of course. The
film has to be one of the absolute worst ever 'B' movies. It has to
be watched to be seen how bad it is :-)

Actually Plan9 has a stronger link to GNU/Linux than to UNIX.
It's from Plan9 that we inherit all those lovely plain
text files in /etc that make admin so much less painful.
UNIX in the 70s/80s had a fair few of binary config files istr.

Now I didn't know that. I admit that all I've ever done is to skim
over stuff about Plan 9 (should it be Plan9 without the space? no pun
intended) and have never even tried installing it on anything. It's
just one of those things that I've filed away as looking interesting
