Ubuntu was installed as a LAMP server (I just chose the LAMP option when installing)

Oi, it was tongue in cheek :-) I learned the CLI way before I even saw Unix/Windows etc.... it's jsut that I've forgotten nearly all of it and I'm lazy :-)
