Hi As mentioned on the infopoint list I have organised to have a table at Trentham Gardens this Sunday (18th) to promote free software/Linux as per the infopoint project site http://infopointproject.org. Happy for anybody to help in anyway if they would like. I plan to take a couple of laptops and distribute some cd's say gnewsense/ubuntu for free or very little to cover costs. I do not have much in the way of flyers or info sheets so any help would be appreciated. I am not currently an active member of any LUG but can give out information if anybody would like to give me any. I am not a Linux expert but happily use it at home and am prepared to give up a bit of my time to promote the use of it. It will be interesting to see how it is received. Any help , thoughts or comments greatly appreciated. The event details are at http://www.computermarkets.co.uk/ The event starts at 10am but I will get there about 9ish to setup and it finishes at 3. I think it will be in the big white tent near the bottom car park. There should be power so some extensions will be needed. I would have come along. 2. I'd have russeled up some CD/DVD's 3. Also they will not confirm a free table till the last minute in case they can sell it. I have hardware and can burn CD's so should have enough for this weekend. Will look to print some basic details off. Just be interesting to see the level of interest. The markets are held regularly all over the country and will now be a regular at Trentham. I am happy to feed back from this event so can plan what may be needed at any future events and give the opportunity for anybody to get involved who would like to.
