This is exactly what I thought.... I shall take the internal (PC based
firewalls) off, or, out of the equation. But, I'm suspicious that it
is actually down to the PC based firewalls. I would have expected
something to show up in a pop up from the firewall software.
Something like '192.168.04 wants to connect to this PC' sort of thing.
There's been nothing like that :-( I honestly think it is some
setting within the router (modem router) as, I have had tis same LAN
running perfectly when I just had a straightforward 'switch' in place
(pre broadband days with only one PC web connected).
