Anybody want any Ubuntu disks? I've got a few that I can bring along.
I have some 5.04's - not sure if anybody wants them as they are the
previous release - but I also have a few of the later 5.10's including
one solitary 64 bit version.
I don't know what else I have knocking around but I'll have a look and
if anybody can make use of it - I'll post up what I have of course - I
can bring it along. We could make it a sort of swap meet too.
hint: I could really do with a simple PCI soundcard ;-)))) I know I
have a printer switch box (manual, parallel port) and possibly a CPU
or two but they are only low end AMD K6-2 jobs...

Actually, this is simply because I cannot get an old Creative
Soundblaster ISA card working for love or money. It should
work.....but it will not.

hey, coming in late and all, but that sounds good simon, i'll happily
bring along any gentoo (i hope this doesn't start a debian vs gentoo

that - willing to learn! but i find it hard to understand where to
start (yes.. rtfm @ the beginning i know)
as for getting there i'll have a fun job getting up to the moorlands

Normally, I drink stout (or porter, on the few occasions I can get
one), but "nice" bitters include Newcastle Brown, Lancaster Bomber,
Spitfire, Bishop's Finger, and some others that I can never remember
;-) I don't drink lager.

Ah, a few of my faves in there...
Chimay....mmmmmm, nice :-) Or there's always Ruddles County. Though,
to be honest, I'm not much of a beer drinker. Two reasons one being
that I have to take painkillers 24/7 and the second that I actually
prefer a good single malt like Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish :-)

I only ever have 4 fingers at the most nowadays. Gone are the days of
all night sessions sinking anything up to 18 pints (beer of course) or
getting through a few bottles of spirits (god I was ill for days after
that one).

Pain killers?

down....most of the time. Sometimes it's particularly bad and I can
be laid up for weeks or even months at a time. Those painkillers help
