The software is C-Map
www.C-Map. com.
It uses a USB GPS receiver.
I had a look at the C-Map web site, but I'm none the wiser for it ;-)
I've got a GPS, which I failed to get working under Windows on VMWare. I
haven't tried it with Wine, and to be honest, I didn't try very hard
with VMWare. I wanted to get track data off it, to convert to GPX for
use with OpenStreetMap [1]. My GPS logs to an SD card, so I just plug
the SD card into a reader and use GPSBabel to read/convert the files to
GPX.
So, I think the short answer is, I can't offer direct help, but
depending on what you want to do with your GPS, it might be worth
looking at GPSBabel.
