Though you can mail-order bags of them from Radiospares. Research reveals these screws are typically Pan-Head Machine Screws, and there are two main types: Case screws are 6-32 (six gauge wire with 32 threads per inch) American National Coarse Thread (UNC) using English Units. Case screws are 1/4-inch long while the similar Hard Drive screws can be 3/16-inch long. I had this problem a few months ago. I collect the screws whenever I can, but sometimes I run out. I got a handy little kit of 120 screws, jumpers and spacers on eBay. The screws used in various drives are deceptive. They are not all a uniform size so be very careful. I'd check eBay to be honest as they often have 'kits' with a few hundred various sized screws in them. Far, far cheaper than Maplin too. --
