2008/12/3 Dave <dave(a)staffslug.org.uk>:
Dear All,
I've just checked the email and wow has the list been busy (good times),
but I notice that there's a couple of things people have concerns about.
Well.. As you may or may not have notice I *think* I've set the mailing
list to display who the post is from (if it's not right, let me know and I
can tweak more settings!)
Looking good here Dave :-)
About the site.. Yes, I agree content is a bit lacking, but I'm
always
ready to accept contributions :o)
I know some may ask "but you run this site, why don't you do some".. And
the simple answer is I a terrible writer!
Add to that we are all members of the list and it is not simply down
to one person to write stuff. It's up to us all. :-)
If anyone out there feels they would like to step up and help out
with the
site running, or feel they have good ideas for changing the site/group,
again shout up!
I may but not just yet... I'm too embedded in running Freecycle stuff
at the moment so I couldn't commit properly. I may offload one group
in about 12 months time though. Well, not so much offload as pass on
the reigns.
I like the idea about arranging meetings on the IRC channel (yes,
I've
even logged onto it a couple of times).. So what times would people say
would be best?
Now that's where I leave the conversation... I don't like any sort of
IM and I include IRC in that. I prefer e-mail simply because I ma in
charge. I choose when I answer somebody and don't feel obliged to
answer straight away. IM's do place this burden on its users I
feel... but, that's just me :-)
