All,
I need to run two Win-only progs on my laptop (SeaTTY and C-Map) is
Wine the simplest way to do
it ? Can I get it in a 'click to install' format or should I
download it and bring the whole thing to the next meeting?

get a wine source, compile it (see the readme or you can normally
./configure;make;make install )
then in terminal move to the dir with the windows exec in it.. type
wine blahblah.exe and it should run out of box (works better since
they use the win98 api now instead of the 16/32 bit 95 one which was
always.. dodgy)
if you need any help.. paste an error message or outcome you're having
problems with..

I suspect Mandriva will have an RPM of Wine - try looking for it in
their package management tool. If they have, try that first, since it's
the simplest. Last time I used Wine (on SUSE 8.1) I installed it via
YaST, and could run a Windows exe by double-clicking on it.

Worth just trying to see if Wine is installed.. A lot of the distro's now
tend to install it by default..
