Morning All,
I'm trying to get my usb wifi working in Vectorlinux. It's dlink and
uses the ralink rt2500 chip. When I try to use the w*n driver with
ndis it keeps telling me "invalid driver". I have copied the rt2570
module which works fine under pclinuxos but I simply put it in a new
folder named "drivers" then cd /home/drivers ls shows me it's
there. modprobe rt2570 does nothing!
What's wrong, how should I insert this module? The more I read on the
subject, the more confused I become!
Thanks
Stuart :(
I think the first thing would be to try the Vector Linux forums. Try
a search on that particular module. I'm on shaky ground here but it
sounds as though you need to actually add it into the kernel. It may
also need to be specificaly stated as needing loading at boot time too
but I'm not sure how :-(
