I was considering having a "About Us" / "About members" page which
maybe
shows a quick hello message from anyone that wishes to post and maybe a
photo so that those who wish to attend a meeting already know who to
look for etc? (Not that we can't be spotted fairly quickly!!!)
What do people think?

Sounds good to me. Folks will know that I'm a member then even though
I never seem to get the chance these days to atend any meets :-(
Forget the piccy though... I don't think I have a recent one.
Although, thinking about it, if you don't mind it of me with a great
big grin holding a 2lb sea bass (just caught by my own fair rod and
reel) then it can be arranged.

I like the idea! :)
A more comprehensive 'about us' page was always something I'd wondered
about, but at the time I couldn't think of a lot to contribute.
Though I'd be quick to say that too many 'plugs' would be a bad thing.
It's about the community at the end of the day :)
