Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with implementing ipv6. I
keep thinking it would be a good idea to get my head round it and was
contemplating testing it out on our office network....
If anyone has come across any good howto's / walkthroughs I'd appreciate
the heads up.

I'm currently running dual-stack IPv6 at home, via http://aaisp.net
which works really well.
At present the network set-up is based around their supplied Zyxel
P660R-D1 running a full-bridge to my home-brew m0n0wall router. The
'WAN' IPv6 address is assigned by IPCP (PPP) and then I have a
single /64 subnet setup on the LAN, with autoconf enabled. From that,
Windows 7 'just works' and Ubuntu just needs IPv6 autoconf enabling.
The hardest part was subnetting a /64 out of the /48 range A&A gave me!
But in reality you can just stick in the prefix and change the prefix
length. :)
As for work, that poses its own challenges, but the office is currently
running IPv6 at present. Some hurdles there which require Cisco license
upgrades and other such silly things, but you can certainly ping6
2a00:1ee0:1337:2::1, which is a start!

So do AA directly support ipv6. I guess the problem is
that a good
portion of the net is still only available via v4. I was about to move
some lines over to Zen but that could make the difference.

Absolutely, unequivocally. And have done for some time! Actually RevK
(Adrian Kennard's) talk to LINX on being an early adopter as an ISP, is
genuinely an interesting video to watch.

I'm a big fan of pfSense, which does not yet feature IPv6 support...
meaning I can't switch until they implement it.. which had better be
next year or i'll have to switch to m0n0wall for a bit! :(

Yes, hardware support is still a bit of a pain. I'm quite amazed that
it's taken this long to get it into pfSense. That said, m0n0wall still
lacks a DHCPv6 service (autoconf works fine for the most part, however)
and there's also a lack of any routing support (not even RIPng) - though
that's true of m0n0's IPv4 support, also.
Thankfully Vyatta is the dog's danglies for IPv6-enabled routing on the
cheap.. It turned an old 1U P4 into a very capable Linux-based router in
not too much time at all.
I've had limited success with getting OpenWRT working with IPv6 via Lua
(the web interface) but the support is there in the OS if you don't mind
getting down and dirty with the shell.
But there are means and ways, definitely.
Cisco's support for IPv6 is, as with many things, complex. Be sure to
write down a list of the features you need and spend a few days (!)
going through the rigmarole that is their Feature Navigator to ensure
that the platform/featureset/IOS release you have (or are planning to
buy) is suitable.
(Tig will be along shortly with 'the list of excuses'.)

I'm just reading through aaisp's website and they look awesome! Everything you
ever wanted to know about adsl seems to be on there site.
I don't know if I'll be able to make the sums work for customers but I think
I'll be using them at home.
The video shows the boss in a good light too

I too use them at home. They are tariffed towards businesses, but if
you're not home during the 9-6 'peak' period, it's quite affordable for
the features you get.
Not to mention being able to poke the owner (Adrian) via IRC whenever
you fancy.. :)
It's not exactly 'on-topic' this thread, but if you do have any other
