Quick email to the group I would like to get meetings going again. At the
moment I am trying to get feedback so something can be arranged and put in
place. Couple of things that people could put in their replies that will
help would be whether or not they would like to attend meetings, where the
people can get to comfortably (i.e none drivers who have to catch buses etc)
and what time. we can talk about a venue that suits once we get an idea of
how many people are interested

Great ok getting some feedback here now. I understand people are busy and
thats no problem at all. What I can do for those that are interested in what
is going on at meetings is capture an audio feed and perhaps make some sort
of podcast people can grab and listen to??
What sort of place do people want top meet at? I dont drink myself but am
willing to talk venues and maybe give them a ring and sort something out
before hand so things are a bit smoother.
Irc meetings: I agree they are good. I am waiting for a switch and some
network cable to finish converting my loft to a lab. I had been meaning to
setup an irc bot to capture a feed and process it again putting it onto the
site and intergrating irc more into the group. It's all work in progess and
I'll try to roll that out asap.

before so any tips pointers etc would be brill!)

banned for breaking a glass in my hand then punching someone pretty hard....
basically i went over to wake a chap up... he'd passed out, anyway i
shook his shoulder and he grabbed me and wouldn't let go... after
about 20 seconds and taking a few punches from him, i broke my pint
glass and punched him...
police dropped it all, said it was 50/50 and a simple mistake... union
banned me

area does seem to be most central from lookin at the map, so think bout other possible

haha that sounds interesting heh. I agree a central meeting place would be
great somewhere we can use more than once as well. make it kind of
"staffslug central" I'm liking where we are going on this. I did forget
about the under 18's issue but we can work around that. I like the map idea

I'm not keen on the Wolves style pub meets but I have attended several
of their lecture/info meetings.

place. Couple of things that people could put in their replies that will
help would be whether or not they would like to attend meetings, where the
people can get to comfortably (i.e none drivers who have to catch buses etc)
and what time. we can talk about a venue that suits once we get an idea of
how many people are interested

- Holiday inn - trentham gardens
- Trentham gardens - might be an idea for those that don't like the pub
idea
- China gardens - yea I know a pub, but I've been before and if anyone
wanted something to eat their food is pretty good
- wetherspoons - again pub but I think they do wireless in the newcastle
wetherspoons
I will be getting audio from the meet via my recorder I've had to use it for
something like this before so I know it works. Again if anyone has any ideas

Make it Asda cafe in Stafford :-) Cheap food, it ain't a pub and it's
easily accessible. I got fed up of travelling further North to round
the Stoke area and getting lost. Though, now with a sat' nav' that
wouldn't be quite so likely.
Seriously, it's too much travelling from down where I am in the South
of the county to get to Stoke :-(
