Well, it's not actually 'desperate' but I really need some help with this. I'm on the cadge... I was trying to to access a disk in my 750mb Iomega Zip drive. It's knackered :-( the drive light will flash for a split second and then do nothing. So, does anybody possibly have a 750mb USB Iomega Zip drive that is no longer used? Possibly one that is tucked away in a cupboard at work? I can pay for it but not a lot. Of course, the 750mb disks don't work in the more common 250mb drive :-( Merry Christmas Staffs Linuxy folks :-) --

This is pretty much obsolete technology now so how or why are they asking that stupid sort of price? I may have to look at getting this drive fixed... which could be just as pricey :-(

The stuff I have on the disks just isn't worth it. I've lost far more valuable data on hard drives that have broken... I'm simply amazed at the crazy prices for these drives. As I said, it's oboslete technology now so you'd think they'd want to get rid of them ASAP!!! Even the disks still seem to be way overpriced... why?
