Heya guys just a quick one.
What windows manager to you lot use mostly? I just switched myself over to
openbox and am loving it. Not that there's anything wrong with gnome etc. I
just like my desktop simple.

Gnome here (with compiz) on my Ubuntu install.
I went through a period of going for the 'ultra lean' desktop when I was
fiddling with Slackware (we're talking Summer 2004 here) and I tried
fluxbox/xfce at the time, but I'm quite happy with the 'full fat'
desktop manager to be fair.
I just can't kick the compiz addiction. It's awesome. :)

Hmm, difficult one. My aversion to gnome is well known. However,
over the last 6 months I've grown to like it a bit more. I can't
fully embrace it but it's not too bad. KDE I've always loved but I
don't like the way it is now with all this widget rubbish. My first
experience with Xfce was awful but I persevered and now I really like
ti on either a low power PC or a higher (read low power to most people
as the one I'm thinking of is now 9 yrs old) powered one.
Overall.... Xfce now gets my vote.

Usually one of: PWM [1], Windowmaker, GNOME, and Emacs ;-)

What windows manager to you lot use mostly?
Only yesterday I loaded a new PC for my main desktop and I tried Xubuntu
and Kubuntu, I even tried Jaunty Kubuntu to see what KDE 4.2 was all
about but my final load was Jaunty Gnome.
In the interest of speed I am also running on software raid0 over a pair
of 10K WD Raptors but it doesn't seem 'that' much faster than my
previous install.
I need to try one of those Intel SSDs...

Fluxbox, I like it simple. Never really got on with gnome.
KDE is just windows for linux.
