Staffs LUG wiki & security
by Kevanf1
IS the wiki pretty secure? WolvesLUG have had some trouble with spam
just lately as have one or two other LUGs up and down the country.
I'm just thinking it would be best to look at this before we start to
think about uploading content ourselves.

Web site comments
by Russ Phillips
I've had a look at the site, and I have a couple of points/questions:
1. When I'm logged in, there's a link to the wiki (labelled "ewiki"),
but it disappears when I'm not logged in. Is this intentional?
2. There appear to be two home page links, one labelled "Home" [1],
and one "HomePage" [2]. They point to different pages, which is rather
confusing.
3. When I'm not logged in, the "Home" page [1] has this text in a box
at the top:
"This text (if activated) will appear at the top of your front page
all the time."
4. The home page says:
"We are now using e107 to do the management, which now means that
members can submit articles (hint, hint!)"
Is there any facility other than the wiki for members to submit articles?
5. Why is there a link to Slackware among the main links at the top of
every page? Does the web site run on Slackware?
Sorry for all the questions ;-)

Site
by dave@staffslug.org.uk
Hello.. Just to let everyone know I've taken down the site while I play
with a few things.
But fear not, the mailing list and forum board
(http://www.staffslug.org.uk/forum/) are still up and running.
Dave
p.s. I know content is what it's all about, but what do you think of the
new logo?
