What you want is a distro .iso but with the latest released updates as
the install packages eg overwriting any packages that have newer or
updated releases. Oh and all the drivers plus your setup as well.
I've never used LiveCD so don't know how it works.

mklivecd is a brilliant prog, enables me to create live (installable)
cd image of my OS completely updated, customised and with the linux
WiFi nightmare installed and working. If I have a real nasty (bar the
bios dying) I can just shove in the disc and reinstall.
If you create the iso with harddrake set to run at boot, you can even
stick it in a different machine.
All my problems were caused by trying to create the iso in too small a
folder. mklivecd doesn't give you any error msgs - it just carries on
and produces a duff image!
I'll put all the coasters on fleabay.
