Hmm, difficult one. My aversion to gnome is well known. However, over the last 6 months I've grown to like it a bit more. I can't fully embrace it but it's not too bad. KDE I've always loved but I don't like the way it is now with all this widget rubbish. My first experience with Xfce was awful but I persevered and now I really like ti on either a low power PC or a higher (read low power to most people as the one I'm thinking of is now 9 yrs old) powered one.
