TBH I've never booted off a USB drive, I take it when you get to the
sbmanager boot screen and you've done 'ctrl h'
(I think its that, certainly I always do a rescan of the partitions at
every boot time sbmanager always gets it wrong first time round)
do you see the entry for the USB drive?
If you are unsure just try booting the ones you are unsure of what I
mean is you can ignore CDROM and probably hda. I would expect it to be
something like sda1

Morning Dick,
I just set first boot option to "usb fdd" that's the only one my bios
has for usb. Then I wrote the sbm floppy image to the stick but bios
doesn't see it. I've obviously got something wrong.
In the meantime I've given up on LiLo 'cos it won't see my third
drive, hdc or hd,2 depending on how you see it. I have learned to edit
grub menu.lst and add the image every time I play with a different OS
on the spare drive. Would have been nice if sbm just scanned and found
the new one each time. I suppose I could put a floppy drive in the
box.
Cheers
