Lo,
Up for grabs (for free) I have an EPSON Perfection 1660 PHOTO Scanner.
Purposefully bought a while back because it has great Linux/SANE
compatibility - you can even script what happens when you push the button
on the front, how jolly.
EPSON Info here (including their own Linux driver, but personally I'd just
use the one SANE comes with)...

SANE compatibility database here...

Anyway it's surplus to requirements as I've got one of those MFP's, a
Samsung CLX-3305FN to be precise, scan/print/fax/copy/makecoffee.
If interested just pop up to Newcastle-under-Lyme and grab it.
If no one shows any interest... err it'll probably go on the bin... eBay
is a bitch with fees now - just isn't worth it.
Also... buy my KVM! And, like other random crap...

Already in my bin (tell me quickly if you'd like me to rescue)... a
Promise IDE PCI raid controller, a complete set of OS/2 manuals, a brand
new unopened USRobotics router, a D-Link ADSL2+ modem, some SATA drive
bays, an M$ sidewinder game pad and lastly an 802.11b (that's B!) usb
wireless dongle from DRAYTEK.
