that'll work, but gentoo seriously isn't as good as it used to be,
they're made it over complicated and unneceserily (sp?) changed alot
of the methods within portage.. IMHO.. get freebsd - cut out the
middle man (and AWFUL developers (and dev community) - the good ones
seem to have left..)
thats just my two cents..

Hi guys - I have a 40GB HDD on my HP TC1100 slate PC and wanted to
install
Linux as as I'm sick of fiddling with Live CD's - I flit between 10 of them
and never stick any of them out.
I need to leave 15GB for Windows and wanted to divvy up the remaining 25GB.
I have 512MB RAM so the swap is going to be 1024MB
Would I be OK doing 15GB for the FAT32 shared partition, 1GB for swap, 4GB
for /, 5GB for /home.
I intend to put Gentoo on there to use and understand the (in) famous
package manager which I've heard is top class.
