EXT3 is the -j (journal) flag of EXT2... if you're really interested in file systems look at Btrfs - it's a promising one for the future... reiser will eventually become a dead fs as the creator is serving life in jail (i reckon that'll have been the nail in the coffin of the fs!) if anyone's interested... i believe the guy murdered his family or something?
