There's also the chance your freecycling gang can perhaps?

Maplin have haqd them in the past..but, as you rightly say 100 and
250mb ones :-( I've looked on eBay but the prices are around £100+
:-O WHAT????? This is pretty much obsolete technology now so how or
why are they asking that stupid sort of price? I may have to look at
getting this drive fixed... which could be just as pricey :-(
