I think it's an interesting idea. I can't decide whether I like the
idea or not, but it is an interesting idea, and I'll be interested to
see how it pans out.
Why are you hoping it takes people away from Ubuntu?

I have a uneasy feeling about Ubuntu, that's all. I cannot put my
finger on it. To be honest I cannot get to like Ubuntu no matter how
many times I try it. Kubuntu is ok so it may simply be that I cannot
stand Gnome. Add a bit of Dick's influence about anti Ubuntuism into
the mix...
