Stupid question but, are you using the router to set DHCP ? eg the
router is assigning IP addresses Mine at home is a Draytek Vigour 2600
that sets the IP for all my Linux and Windows boxes, it also acts as
my firewall, Laptops and PC's can all see/talk to one another.
Is your PC/Laptop set to assign address from DHCP eg the router?
