Prehaps, the same reason you want them?
Surely though if that's the case they - the sellers - are on a loser?
I can understand businesses having data that is absolutely vital and
has monetary value. But ordinary people like me? No chance. If I
won't cough up then neither will anybody else. Businesses are more
likely to go to a specialist data recovery firm with their disks. It
wouldn't cost much as the disks are not corrupted. A data recover
firm would likely have these drives ready to use.
I'll wait 6 months and see if they are desperate to sell them on eBay
then offer them half what they want :-))))
