I propose that we:
1. Establish what the aims of the LUG are and what we want to achieve.
2. Bearing that in mind, agree a structure (which might be completely
informal, who knows?)
3. Decide on people to fill roles.
4. Put meat on the bones. Decide how to meet our aims. What are we going to
do and how are we going to do it.
From previous experience of chairing an organisation (a charity) that is no
small undertaking! 1 & 2 would take some hours,
Chris.
I've had experience of chairing a commitee too. I ran the Cheslyn Hay
Parish Plan. That is why I am all for a proper structure with
somebody at the head. From my experience it really isn't all that
difficult at all. The key is in making sure there are people in place
at various levels who know what their role is. Yes, vote these key
people in place democratically.
We need to start somewhere which is why I proposed Dave as the LUG
Master to start with for 12 months.
