Your find does lead for that belief, which would lead to the theory that the CPU is 400MHz...

I dont know how good it would be with a 400mhz processor my eeepc struggles sometimes when I have a few applications open. still its highly portable. Which is completely unjustified. The Samsung NC-10 is one of the nicest nettops I've laid my hands on. With a view to built quality and keyboard layout, etc. Bit-Tech recently gave it an award for, pretty much, 'best nettop, 2008'. And I'm sure, given that they used to share offices with Trusted Reviews, they've seen quite a few of the things. But it only echoes what I've found out myself. Walking around the mobile phone shops in any large town will get you some significant hands-on time with a lot of these little devices, and for some, the build quality is (as you'd expect for the price) dire. But, again, the Samsung's the nicest one I've picked-up off of a shelf. Second only in quality to the Dell Mini 9 I happen to have beside me, but even then, the Dell's more expensive and has a pretty odd keyboard. And there's no reason to be brand snobbish either: Samsung's laptops are generally very good VFM. Taht may be so but when I looked for a new tv 2 years ago LG came out on top for picture quality. I did get a plasma though and not LCD. I was unimpressed with every LCD screen I viewed. Again though, I was looking at 40" plus screens and eventually settled for 42" LG. It was far superior to every other screen and I stood looking at each one for about 5 minutes side by side.

Gorgeous bit of kit isn't it? I have e-mailed the UK office of Acer. I want to know if they are likely to be firstly doing a BIOS upgrade to enable 2gb+ of RAM to be installed and secondly whether they have any plans to either offer a factory fitted Aspire One with 1.5gb of RAM (the max it will currently take) or 2gb with note to the previous question.

Wow these netbooks have really taken off. I still have my original eeepc 701 with the standard xandros installation. Dont like to play devils advocate or anything but every samsung mobile I've had has been rubbish. how many people are keeping linux installed on these things?
