It's hard to be entirely sure - on the one hand, anything that
keeps wholly Free Software interoperable is good (and Michael
Meeks says the move is good on his blog, so it must be okay =^)
On the other, well there are a few problems. Some interesting

I don't actually think this changes anything as far as Novell are concerned,
and the Free Software will be unaffected, so I'd probably save energy to
worry about BSF,`` trusted'' hardware, Blu-Ray DRM, software patents
re-introduced by the back door, Gordon Brown, illegal agreements
with OEMs/ISVs, the UK's lamentable state of IT education, and all of the
other pressing problems that Free Software has.
Hmm - you know looking at that list, I can't think why I bother getting
out of bed in the morning ;^0
