Depends what your needs are but some of the Xen offerings are looking good and you can xm migrate to and from your server at home! There are *no* quality of service guarantees with ADSL - if the line drops every 5 minutes for 10 seconds, there's no comeback. Been there, done that. Gave up, and now pay for a virtual server. $20/month to Linode or £15/month to Bytemark. Well worth it, in my opinion, as long as you don't need anything too fancy. get a domain from anywhere.. that doesn't make a damn bit of difference.. i'm pretty sure they're standard rate of $10.. but take your nameservers in house (simply because you'll have much more control, and it doesn't take much system resources to do so..)
