What's you search term? I could only find 2gb USB memory sticks at
£43.42 Which is about standard for those sort of shops. I can get
them cheaper at 7dayshop :-) I can also get 1gb SD cards (they are
good, I use one in my Nikon D50) for £8

your on about an SD card.

cheap as chips and you can set 'A Linux' up on it but what your paying
for is
1. Something pre-installed
2. No faffing around getting it to work (Hopefully)
3. A bit of support
4. A really cool looking device with the Logo
For my money its worth it although I've no intention of getting one
I'm sure MR. Let me steal your developers will bring one out for his
over hyped distro.

oh and free, and runs from a 256 (though 512 would be better) mem pen,

normal on a linux machine for file saving, and you can fdisky the
bugger how you want for file storage and mounting at boot

I've not tried Puppy. It's a bit bloated for my old IBM lappy. The
mulinux i installed was a 2,4 MB install plus addons X11 and Netscape.
Total install is now 21MB !! It's a very old distro, last updated 8yrs
ago but runs fine and an ideal learning exercise for me getting it to
work. There's no boot loader so I had to use W*n98 to get it from the
mem stick to the hdd then run it from C:\ Linux !
