Late last year, I was chatting with Laura Czajkowski about DevRel and community events in the UK. I'd just returned from an excellent experience at London Barcamp, buzzing about the talks and energy of the event. I mentioned what a great job Terence Eden and their crew did. Good vibes all around! When Laura suggested she could find a venue if I helped run one, I jumped at the chance. Fast-forward to today—we've secured the perfect location, and we're making it happen! We are delighted to announce that we're hosting BarCamp Surrey on August 2nd at Godalming College. The venue is within walking distance of the train station, and there's ample parking with EV charging facilities on-site for those driving. For those unfamiliar with BarCamps, they are incredibly inclusive events where anyone can present on topics they're passionate about. You don't need to be an experienced speaker or prepare slides—it's all about sharing knowledge and experiences.
