15" inch CRT

Hi All
I've got seven 15" inch CRT Monitors free to a good home (Remeber a
Monitor is for life not just for Christmas) they are all 2nd hand but
in working order if you want one or more you'll have to collect from
Bridgtown (Near Cannock) or arrange for them to be collected.

Download problem

Help,
I'm trying to dowload a distro. It gets about halfway through (150 of
390) and just stops. Tried 3 times now. No error msg, connection
working fine.
Any ideas

Working again :-)

As the list is back up again :-) may I apologise for my not turning up
on Monday. I'm afraid I ended up in bed at 5:00pm with a migraine.
My own fault, I had spent far too much time in front of the PC
monitor. I've been setting up a new local Freecycle group and when I
start I just forget all sense of time. Until I suddenly find I have
this aversion to light and little pinpricks of fire are dancing in
front of my eyes.

RSS Reader

Hi All
Not being a Linux zealot and firmly believing in the premise of "Use
whatever software gets the job done" I've just installed attensa
(http://www.attensa.com/)
Its a really cool rss reader that integrates with MS Outlook my
install has some 'exception errors' but seems to work the feeds are
displayed in the Outlook message pain and adding sites is so easy,
browse to favourite site attensa has an rss button on your ie browser
press the button and the site is added, best of all its FREE now I can
keep up to date with all my favourite sites from the comfort of my
office machine. The beauty being if the boss looks at my screen I'm
looking at emails that or work related. :-)

LUGRadio

As conversation turned that way (by way of home-made MAME cabinets)
and Kris hadn't heard of it, I wasn't sure if others might have missed
out on the joy that is LUGRadio. It's a podcast that's older than the
term podcast itself, and is distilled essense of geeky pub rant
(complete with heated arguments and swearing) in an ogg (or mp3). In
summer, they also run LUGRadioLive, which is a Linux conference run by
and for the community and has a much more relaxed and fun atmosphere
than others. Have a listen, join the forum, log onto the irc channel,
it'd be good to see some of you around the LR community.

USB memory sticks

Ok, found those cheap 2gb USB memory sticks. The call them 'pen
drives'.... I tend to call them USB memory or USB flash drives. No
wonder I couldn't find them before. However, at £20 for the 2gb drive
I still think the Mandriva offer is pretty good. You are paying £20
on top for the enhanced version of Mandriva all preinstalled for you
on a USB drive. For a newcomer to Linux that ain't bad at all.
