Hello All,
Like the Google calendars idea - I have registered an account for
staffslug, so not sure if we can use that?
Anyway, more to the subject topic. You may have noticed that the site is
looking a little different as I have taken the advise and installed Word
press (which was surprisingly easy!).
So, who wants to be content makers?

Meeting 09-02-2009
by Dave
Dear All,
Firstly, thank you to all those that attended, and yes I managed to find
my way back to the M6!!
Right, on to business.
1. The next meeting will be on Monday 9th March at the same venue.
2. There is going to be a quick look into the possibility of the
availability of a meeting place.
3. We are ditching e107 with a view to getting word press up and running
(I am in the process of looking into the set-up now)
4. Having a "newbie" section so we can introduce them to what we are etc
and also, if they have questions a kind of basic what is expected (fill in
any more if I've missed anything out)
5. A sort of code of conduct when responding to questions i.e. avoid
responding with just RTFM as it's the best way to scare people off!
6. Possibility setting up a bit more of an agenda for the next meeting.
If anyone else has any items that I've missed, please shout up.
Anyway, thanks again, I think the meeting went really well.

Google calendars
by Andrew Edwards
RE: meet and google calendars
For Google mail users there is a nice lab feature which allows you to
add a calendar to the inbox page
Does anyone want to set up a google calendar? Are we interested?
direct your thoughts to IRC!

by Dave
Hello All,
Just to confirm the meeting details:
Stafford Weatherspoons Monday 9th Feb at (from) 6.30pm
I have an apology to make as I can't find the mail with the link to the
location, so if anyone out there can find it, can you reply?
If I don't hear anything to differ from the meeting details by tomorrow
(05-Feb-2009) night, I shall put the details on the site.
Thank you

LUG Structure.
by Kevanf1
May I make some proposals?
Firstly, let's appoint a formal LUG Master, a team leader. 12 months
tenure? Dave? Anybody to second this? Dave do you accept?
Who do we need team wise? A meetings officer? Publicity officer? I
think that would be enough to start with then we can all fwd any ideas
we have to them (once they are proposed and elected) who can then
collate and fwd the useful stuff to us on the list.
Let's take it from there instead of shooting off in all directions
about other topics and having the LUG going around like a headless
chicken.
Well?

Should the Lug Split, results so far
by dick_turpin
Hi All
So OK only 6 people have bothered to get off their bum and actually vote
but from that very small percentage we can see that the Lug, as in name,
should be left alone but that the consensus is "Its all going pear
shaped guv'nor".
Results: http://tinyurl.com/dj3yww
P.S. Sorry there is no link on the site to this particular 'Vote Result'
the module appears to be broken, I plan to update it today so the whole
thing may well be broken by this afternoon :-D*

meet - Monday 9th Feb
by Matthew
Hi
Not sure if this has been discussed before but to kick start a meet is anyone free next Monday afternoon/evening?
Pretty flexible to location so if we can get a few people together somewhere relatively mutual it might be a useful jump in the right direction?
