Hey!,
Hang on!.. putting my imaginary Function Office hat back on... checking
I'm on the right e-mail account... official communiqué incoming...
Right looks good, moving on...
You may remember the StaffsLUG project leader nomination process we went
through mid-last year (it was this thread I'm replying to, see below).
Around the same time it was decided any future nomination process would
occur in the run up to the LUGs annual birthday instead. After a bit of
chatting with the venerable LUG founder Dave Roberts... we've figured
this was the 2nd March 1999.
As a result the nomination of Richard was backdated to 2nd March 2020,
which already made some sense as he'd already been 1 of 3 people running
things prior anyway as a co-caretaker.
But since we've only just done all this, a mere 4 months ago!.. we're
forgoing nominations just this once and they'll resume next year. This
is especially in light of minimal activity due to COVID-19 and such.
Richard is happy to stay on as LUGMaster until at least the 2nd March
2022. The same nomination process will resume again starting from the
9th February 2022 ready for the LUGs 23rd birthday.
In the mean time... the LUG turns 22 in just 2 Tuesdays time!
That was all, sorry for spamming you with admin :)
