Hi!
If you are reading this then you are one of 14 different people I just
enrolled on the *new* Staffordshire Linux User Group mailing list system.
14 people isn't anything to be too concerned with as it's just the
people I'm *allowed* to enrol, this is because you (or someone you know
with your consent) put your name down on a little clipboard I have here
- that I can now shred :)
I'll be contacting the 70-ish older LUG members with a direct mail so
they can enrol themselves if they want to.
Plus then we've got ties to the local Potteries Hackspace and hopefully
other avenues like Keele, various local employers, the local BCS chapter
and CACert.
I encourage you all to take a good look around the new website at
https://staffslug.org.uk
It's still a work in progress but it's been fleshed out to the point
where there is at least something on every page.
The first workshop meeting will be on the 24th September for example!
Details are on the site.
There are many options you can personally set while being in this
mailing list, including just getting a daily digest, turning off e-mails
altogether and/or just using it via the new forum-like HyperKitty web
interface which comes with Mailman 3.
You can find that all at
https://lists.stafflug.org.uk
Just remember if you make a Username/Password on that system, you should
use the same e-mail address that you've received this message on so that
it ties the two things together.
