Little update... Switches are all in place under the desks now and we should be able put all the new network cables to them soon enough. Small snag with the new gigabit cards though... it seems they don't have a boot rom on them! However from what I can gather I can load iPXE (built for the newer gigabit cards) into the onboard boot rom (which is actually inside the BIOS which came with the PC) and it *should* work to boot the new card (rather than boot via the onboard NIC).
