Hi,
Happy Monday morning everyone...
This is the last of the nomination-related e-mails you'll get from me (until next year
that is). I think going forward (i.e. next year and beyond) I'm also not going to
send these nomination e-mails to the meetings@ mailing list... as it's unlikely
someone won't be on general@ but will be on meetings@. It also means you won't
get double the e-mails! Essentially being on general@ will mean you're a member of
the LUG (as it's the closest equivalent to the old staffslug(a)staffslug.org.uk mailing
list) and get an invite to nominate and potentially participate in the committee or be
project leader.
We've only had 1 person this year who received at least the minimum number of 3
nominations from other LUG members, which is... drum roll...
Some guy called... Steven Maddox
So he spoke with himself schizophrenically asking if he wanted the position, and he's
happy to take it on until someone else wants it next year.
As usual you've still got time to send in your objections, if you've got any, to
info(a)functionoffice.org (which would go to someone else in the Function Office team...
clearly it'd make no sense for me to handle an objection about myself! but also
please don't be shy, I know I have my flaws :P).
The new project leader doesn't take the reigns until the 2nd March and will announce
themselves on that day to the general@ mailing list only.
